A School on High Energy Astrophysics with special emphasis on the process of accretion onto compact objects was held at the Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI) during February 6-18, 2012. The School provided an overview of the subject with a view to possible use of ASTROSAT to Ph.D students working in this area.

The school was followed by a one-day symposium where experts presented the current status of research in this area.
